She went on to complete both her internal medicine internship and anesthesiology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio which is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading academic medical centers and a premier institution for advanced physician training. She further advanced her subspecialty expertise through a fellowship in interventional pain management at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH, reflecting an exceptionally rigorous level of training in one of medicine’s most specialized fields.

In addition to her extensive clinical and fellowship training, Dr. Godoy is double board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, holding board certification in both Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Management. This distinction further reflects her advanced expertise, rigorous professional preparation, and commitment to the highest standards of specialty care.

During her career, Dr. Godoy served as an Associate Professor in the University of South Florida Department of Anesthesiology while practicing at Tampa General Hospital, where she contributed to the care of complex patients through both the Trauma and Transplant programs. For the past 20 years, Dr. Godoy has served as the sole interventional pain physician within the BayCare Health System, a role that speaks to her exceptional expertise, trusted clinical judgment, and sustained leadership in the treatment of pain conditions.
